Hi, my name is Susanne Cook, founder of SOS - Susanne's Organizing Solutions. I would like to share a little bit about me and my path in becoming a Professional Organizer through life experiences!

​

I have moved my family 7 times in 25 years while my husband, John, pursued career opportunities in the energy industry!  These moves have given me a vast amount of hands-on experience with moving, unpacking, and setting up households with a growing, busy family.  I’ve learned how to meet the challenge of learning how to purge, sort, organize and create simple organizational systems for each different home.

As families grow, their needs change and home management has to keep up.  I am a mother to two sons who are now attending Texas A&M University. I am personally familiar with how home life is affected by school and athletic scheduling demands—and all the “stuff” that goes along with it.

​

In addition, I have helped my elderly parents downsize and set up a new home.  This required compassion and patience to assist them through the process.  We tapered down their belongings to fit a smaller space, equipped them with creative storage solutions for easy access, and made them feel capable and comfortable in a new place.

​

Being a sentimental type, I understand the painful task of sorting through inherited items.  I understand that we are not just sorting through inherited items, we are sorting through treasures full of memories. I can assist your family in respectfully removing items that are no longer serving a useful purpose.

My goal, through SOS, is to use my experiences & organizational abilities to help people make their homes more functional and beautiful for their families.
